Notary Public. He was the second son of William Francis Lighthall and Margaret Wright (McIntyre), born Montreal November 20, 1861. He was educated at the Montreal High School and McGill University (B.C.L. 1882). He married Miss AnnDean of New York. In 1882 he became a Notary Public.

He is a member of the firm Lighthall & Lighthall; notary to the town of Westmount; a director of the Monarch Life Insurance Company; a councillor of the Citizen's League; and a life governor of  the Montreal General Hospital. He has organized numerous notable charitable and religious movements in Montreal, including the General Hospital bazaars, the C.E. Convention 1893 etc. 

He gazetted Lieutenant of the 6th Regiment "Fusilliers" 1885, captain of the 1st Prince of Wales Regiment 1886, adjunct do. 1887. He is now retired. He is a Liberal, a Presbyterian and an Elder of the American Presbyterian church.
