Charles McEachren

McEachren, Charles, veterinary surgeon.
Son of David McEachren of Campbelltown, Argyllshire, Scotland, and his wife, Marion McCallum; and a step-brother of  Dr. Duncan McEachren. He was born in Campbelltown and educated there. He married August, 1891, Margaret McPhee Allan (a member executive committee Women's branch, Society Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), 4th daughter of the late Sir Hugh Allan of Montreal.

Charles McEachren studied for his Profession at the Edinburgh Veterinary College, the Montreal Veterinary College and McGill University (D.V.S., 1890). He became assistant partner of and eventually successor in practice to, his brother in Montreal. He is very popular upon the turf and in the field. He's a V. S. in the Fire Department Montreal. He was elected Master at the Montreal Hunt Club from 1900-1907 and won the Montreal Hunt Cup, the Allen Cup, the Hunters' Handicap steeplechase, and other events. He is Hon. president of the Montreal Canine Association, a councillor in the Boy Scout Movement in Montreal, and a director of the  Montreal Jockey Club
