DAVID MACKAY McGOUN

Born 1860 in Montreal, son of Archibald McGoun. Educated at Bute House and Montreal High School. On April 15, 1891 he married Frances Augusta Eugenie Fecht, daughter of the late Louis Fecht of Ottawa. He entered the service of the Standard Life Assurance Company as a junior clerk in 1875 and became secretary of the West Indian Branch 1891-1895, secretary of the South African Branch 1895-1900, assistant manager  for Canada 1900-1901, and has since then been manager for Canada, his jurisdiction including the whole of the Dominion, Newfoundland, Bermuda, Cuba, Honolulu and Haiti.
