Born Quebec, Sept.3, 1876, son of Archie Nicoll and Elizabeth Green. Educated Montreal High Schools. With the Canadian Pacific Railway, foreign freight department for ten years. Commemced with Furness Withy Co., Montreal in 1903.

He married Lilian Jaques, daughter of C. Arthur Jaques, Montreal, 1907 and has two daughters.
