Weir, Frank, lawyer and author, was born in Montreal, Canada East on December 9, 1860, the son of William Weir. He was educated at McGill University (B.C.L. 1882), and was called to the bar in the province of Quebec.

He practiced law in Montreal; and while still a young man he published "The law and practice of banking corporations" (Montreal 1888). The date of his death has not been ascertained.
